About Me
I am Themistoklis (Themis) Zanidis, a geopolitical analyst, writer and consultant based in New York. My background includes fifteen years as an officer in the Hellenic Navy. I hold an MA in political science from Rutgers University and an MSc in international relations from the University of Piraeus, worked with the UN Development Coordination Office in New York, and spent four years as a strategic analyst at the Institute of International Relations (IDIS) in Athens, researching strategic culture and Greek-Turkish relations.
I am also a member of the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists (HAPSc) and a regular contributor to its Policy Brief series.
Today I write and consult on U.S.-China competition, transatlantic security, and emerging domains like space and Arctic geopolitics, and I founded GeoSec Insights to bring that analysis to a wider audience.
